The international radio airs 30 games in Africa, will cover live from the stadiums by its sport service’s special reporters: the opening game, the French and African teams’ group games, and all games from the quarters to the final. Every day, the special reporters will take part in and report on the sports and news editions. The foreign language’s teams will also provide contents from their special reporters.

Monday to Friday, in French, from 10:10 pm* to 11 pm* Annie Gasnier and « Radio foot internationale »’s team will expose the highlights of the day and comment on the next to come. The show will be live from Qatar from Monday 21 November to Friday 25 November. « Mondial sports » takes over at the same time on the weekend.

RFI in French will also air different reports on foreign workers, particularly Nepalese and Kenyan, who are exploited, injured or killed during the construction of infrastructures, but also numerous reports over the last few months on environmental issues.

RFI’s social medias will offer a special file with reports, analyses, interviews, portraits of players, and different videos. Liveblog from the games, produced in collaboration with France 24 will be provided.

 

France 24 provides a special coverage for the opening game, and from the end of the group games to the final. Throughout the competition, France 24 will air a daily «World Cup Update» in all languages of the channel.

A few weeks before the World Cup started, France 24 broadcast a ReportersThe plight of migrant workers in Qatar about the living and working conditions of the thousands migrant workers in Qatar. To be seen on our digital platform france24.com.

France 24 also provides a special page devoted to the event with several reports and analyses, articles, exclusive developments and liveblogs to follow the event live. A Liveblog from the games will also be available.

 

MCD and France 24 in Arabic join their expertise and offer joint special editions to analyze the results of games. 

Throughout the World Cup, the weekly program “Top Sport”, hosted by Olivier Flani and Atif Ali Salih, will offers results and highlights of the event, with guests. From Monday 21 November to Sunday 18  December, “World Cup Update” at 5:19 am* and “Sport column” at 5:35 pm* will cover the games for the Arab speaking audience. Every day at 9:45 am*, “Café Chaud” will highlights the events organized in Qatar alongside the games: art exhibitions, concerts and food events.
